Tianyuan Xu, assistant professor of mathematics & statistics, published "Orthogonal roots, Macdonald representations, and quasiparabolic sets" in Forum of Mathematics.

Tianyuan Xu, assistant professor of mathematics & statistics, is a recipient of the AMS-Simons Research Enhancement Grants for Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI) Faculty. The grant supports Xu’s research in combinatorial representation theory.

Heather M. Russell, associate professor of mathematics published "Runs and RSK Tableaux of Boolean Permutations" in Annals of Combinatorics.

Jeremy LeCrone, associate professor of mathematics, presented “Envelope Generators and Clearance Irregularities in State Constrained Control Systems” at the 2nd AMS-UMI International Joint Meeting, co-organized by the Unione Matematica Italiana and American Mathematical Society.

Taylor Arnold, professor of data science and statistics, received the 2024 Distinguished Educator Award from the University of Richmond at Colloquy.

Della Dumbaugh, professor of mathematics, was appointed Robert Edwin Gaines Chair in Mathematics.

Taylor Arnold was promoted to professor of data science and statistics. Arnold’s research is fundamentally interdisciplinary and contributes to the fields of Digital Humanities (DH) and Cultural Analytics through his expertise as a mathematician and data scientist.
